This album has a spring feeling. I frequently associate my favorite albums with a particular season. And I sometimes associate them with a place or phase of my life. Then it’s like a magic trick to listen, close you eyes and be able to feel exactly what it was like back then.

I’d like to associate the new vampire weekend “contra” with this upcoming summer. (for that reason, I’m saving it and haven’t listened to it yet…)
